Habitat: Hispid Buttercup prefers dappled sunlight during the spring and light shade during the summer with mesic to dry conditions and a rich loamy soil with some decaying leaves. Look for Hispid Buttercup in upland woodlands, wooded slopes, and bluffs where oak trees are often present.
