CTN Launches the Andreas Deja Scholarship

The initiative, honoring the legendary Walt Disney Animation Studios animator, supports emerging talent through financial support, mentorship, and networking opportunities; open to non-professional animation students 16 years and up worldwide, the deadline to enter is October 20.

The Creative Talent Network Foundation (CTN) has announced the establishment of the Andreas Deja Scholarship, an initiative honoring the legendary animator whose work with Walt Disney Animation Studios includes contributions to iconic classics such as The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, and The Lion King. The scholarship aims to support emerging talent in the world of animation.

The scholarship program will award financial assistance and mentoring to talented individuals pursuing animation education to help them realize their dreams and advance their careers in animation.

Applications are now open – the deadline to apply is October 20, 2023. Recipients to be notified by November 1, 2023. The Award Ceremony is November 16, 2023, at CTNX23.

Key Scholarship Details:

Financial Support: Recipients will receive a financial stipend for educational expenses related to animation programs.

Mentorship: Scholarship winners receive mentorship from Deja himself, as well as other industry professionals.

Exposure and Networking: Recipients will gain exposure to the animation industry through exclusive events and networking opportunities, facilitating connections with potential employers and collaborators.

Eligibility: The scholarship is open to non-professional animation students 16 years and up worldwide, emphasizing drawing and 2D Animation.
