Buchenavia Oxycarpa

Seeds were imported from Brazil. Buchenavia oxycarpa is a tree that can grow 20 - 30 meters tall. The straight, cylindrical bole can be free of branches for more than half of the tree's height. The tree is harvested from the wild for its wood. According to the collector the tree they found in Ilhéus Bahia was 10 meters tall and covered in a fruit that tasted sweet and sour. They loved the fruit and ate many out of hand. Seeds will be shipped in humid vermiculite.
