Allegations about Rekha’s live-in relationship with manager refuted
Veteran Bollywood star, Rekha, leads a secretive life. Both media and fans have been curious about her personal life for decades. Some fans have a voyeuristic interest in her private affairs.
For years, there have been publications that have carried blinds about the siren being in a live-in relationship with her manager, Farzana since three decades.
There have also been reports on how Rekha’s husband Delhi-based industrialist, Mukesh Aggarwal, whom the ‘Silsila’ actor married in March 1990, succumbed to death by suicide, only months after their marriage, as he discovered about her being bisexual and in a relationship with someone outside of the wedlock.
Now, the author of Rekha’s biography ‘Rekha: The Untold Story’, Yasser Usman, through Twitter, has categorically denied reports of the veteran actor being in a romantic relationship with her manager.
“The quotes alleging a ‘live-in relationship’ ascribed to my book ‘Rekha: The Untold Story’ are a complete fabrication, falsification and misrepresentation evidently intended to create sensationalism. I vehemently assert that the quotes mentioned in the media articles are entirely absent from my book,” he says.
“Furthermore, throughout the entire manuscript, the phrases ‘live-in relationship’ or ‘hermetic existence’ or ‘the biography claiming the relationship is sexual’ have never been used,” adds the author.
Interestingly some articles have also claimed that Farzana controls all the key aspects in the ‘Umrao Jaan’ actor’s life. It is said that only Farzana is allowed inside the actor’s bedroom other than the actor herself.

Usman, however is quick to jump to Rekha’s defence, “These incorrect quotes (about Rekha and her romance with Farzana) are a result of poor clickbait journalism and keep on resurfacing every few years. If these quotes attributed to me or my book ‘Rekha: The Untold Story’ are not immediately rectified, we will not hesitate to pursue legal action against the publications responsible.”
“It’s despicable how clickbait journalism has an aversion towards verifying facts. And most often they target women,” he retaliates.
Among claims and counterclaims the prying of fans into Rekha’s mysterious life has only intensified.
Not to mention her alleged love affair with Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan in the past and the scandalous reaction that followed thereafter will remain in public memory forever.
On the work front Rekha was recently seen on the small screen in the promo of the TV show ‘Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin’.
