The eyeball plant produces beautiful yellow and red flowers that bloom midsummer to early fall. Blooms are globular with a dark spot at the top, reminiscent of an eyeball. Also sometimes referred to as a toothache plant, the leaves and flowers have a mild anesthetizing affect and can be chewed to relieve minor toothaches!
