At $75 a night, this Airstream (and Airbnb Plus) is a steal—not only because it's got a queen bed, dining table, kitchen with a microwave and mini fridge, and air conditioning. It has an enormous, partially shaded yard, with a hammock, grill (so you don't have to cook in the camper), and extra outdoor seating. Back inside, there's a shower that may pose a challenge for tall travelers, but it's completely tiled, making it look like it could be in a home as opposed to a trailer.

Don't let the American flag fool you. This 1948 Vagabond trailer is located near Spain's northern coast, just outside of the seaside town of Santander and about an hour from Bilbao. Permanently parked on a private lot with its own yard, the trailer has almost an entirely original interior. Its walls and ceilings are covered with original birch paneling, and the microwave and mini-fridge are both vintage appliances. There's also a double bed—and a sofa bed if you want to squeeze three people inside. What's not included? A TV or Wi-Fi.

This Silver Streak trailer has come a long way from when it was used as an actual camper in the 1930s—now, all that exists is its original shell, from which nearly the entire side has been cut out for floor-to-ceiling, sliding glass doors overlooking Mexican wine country. While we're in love with the design and functionality of the one-room space, it's the full soaking tub in the bathroom (behind the palm-frond wallpapered wall) that has our jaws on the floor. The trailer also has an enormous wooden deck, which basically triples its footprint.

Located just over the Golden Gate Bridge north of San Francisco, this one-bedroom Airstream leans into retro vibes, while still keeping up with modern amenities. It's an Airbnb Plus, too, which means it passes Airbnb's in-person, 100-point inspection, which includes having closet and drawer space for guests, a well-lit entry, easy check-in, comfortable mattresses, a coffee maker, and toiletries like shampoo, among other things. The cherry-red kitchen may look old-school, but all of the appliances, like the mini-fridge and the microwave, are new. Plus, there's a full-sized bath that's wrapped completely in map wallpaper, a bedroom with a queen bed, and a dining space in the front of the camper with its own imitation fireplace. Set on five private acres just 15 minutes from the entrance to Joshua Tree National Park, this Airstream is for those that want to get off the grid. There's no Wi-Fi and no TV. There is, though, space for one full bed and two twin beds, a kitchen with a large, nearly full-size fridge, air conditioning for the hot desert days, and heating for the cool nights. Plus, there's lots of outdoor living space for enjoying the natural surroundings and incredible star-gazing that comes as a result of the trailer's limited light pollution.

Surrounded by sand, cacti, and views of the desert, this set-up is basically a postcard come to life. And between the shaded car park and outdoor shower, the air conditioned Airstream will keep you as cool as possible during hot Joshua Tree summer days. A 1976 Land Yacht, it has a fairly basic kitchen (hot plate, sink, refrigerator, and microwave) and room for two on a double Tempur-Pedic bed. Travelers who aren't sold on Airstreams' typically small facilities will appreciate the separate outhouse, with outdoor and indoor showers, a toilet, and a sink.

This bright, cheery Argosy Airstream is parked in the heart of South Austin, a short drive or walk from popular restaurants, bars, and coffee shops (we recommend the nearby Summer Moon Coffee). Inside, there are plenty of retro touches, from the teal blue combo toaster oven-coffee maker to the cherry red Nostalgia Electrica mini fridge (there's a full oven and sink in the kitchen, too). It's best suited for a couple, with one double bed tucked into the bedroom area, though there is a sofa bed if you'd like to fit a third guest in. Another Phoenix find: This 1967 Airstream, decorated by local designer Joel Contreras. The spacious (and partially covered) outdoor area is a huge draw, and the almost futuristic interior is equally stunning. The light wood and multiple windows keep the inside feeling airy, while the rain shower is certainly one of the best we've seen in a trailer. More amenities: Wi-Fi and a smart TV, an outdoor fire pit, and bicycles available to use at your leisure.

Taos, New Mexico
This 1954 Silver Dome travel trailer is not an Airstream, but it has a charm of its own, starting with the bright yellow exterior. The inside is decorated to match the dusty orange and pink New Mexico sunsets, with a cozy living area, fully-functioning kitchen, full-sized bed, and bathroom with both a tub and shower inside. For more sleeping space, the sofa pulls out into a bed. It sits just outside downtown Taos, and shares a yard with the owner's home (a shiny silver 1957 Spartan Imperial Villa). You'll want to spend evenings outside—there's plenty of seating, as well as multiple fireplaces to keep you warm or roast a marshmallow.

After a 30-minute sea-plane ride from Vancouver, settle into this all-white, minimalist Airstream nicknamed "August" that's large enough to fit a wood-burning fireplace. There's also a queen bed, four-burner propane stove, full-size oven, and plenty of closet space. The reason why the interior is so big is because, well, there isn't a bathroom inside. Instead, it's located just outside—but don't think this is an outhouse: There's a full-sized, tiled shower, toilet, and sink, making it one of the nicest and, more importantly, largest bathroom of all of these trailers.

Permanently parked in L.A.'s Echo Park neighborhood, this Airbnb Plus Airstream has spectacular views over the sprawling city from its yard, which serves as additional outdoor living space for the trailer. Inside, the bright white interior reflects the California sun, filling the kitchen, living room, and queen-sized bedroom with natural light. The kitchen is well-equipped, with a gas stove so you can do more than just re-heating take out if you're feeling adventurous. Note, as with a lot of these trailers, the shower here is particularly small, so tall travelers beware.
