Spring in her step! Georgie Thompson blends into the background in her feminine floral frock at John Lewis beauty hall launch

The weather outside may not have reflected it, but spring was certainly in the air inside John Lewis on Oxford Street as the stars arrived for the launch of the department store's beauty hall last night.

Sky presenter Georgie Thompson looked right at home inside the event, practically blending into the background in her bright floral Alice + Olivia frock.

The TV star, 34, looked bronzed and beautiful with a dewy, fresh-faced look.

Georgie's prim knee-length dress was paired with a bright purple belt, sheer heels and a bouncy ponytail.

Miss Thompson, who left her position at Sky Sports News in December to commence work presenting Sky Sports F1's Formula One coverage, was one of a number of primped stars turning out to celebrate the newly revamped beauty hall.

The presenter has bounced back from her recent drink driving embarrassment in style. She was arrested in August last year after being caught driving with twice the legal blood alcohol limit.

Georgie was banned from driving for 19 months and ordered to pay a £1000 fine. The humiliating incident has been the source of much teasing from her fellow A League of Their Own panelists.

Laura Bailey also embraced the season in a floral skirt, which she wore with a sheer blouse, cropped jacket and cute oversized bow.

Also in attendance were 90210 star Jessica Lowndes in a black lace minidress and Tara Palmer-Tomkinson in a blush pink tweedy suit.

Sadie Frost and TV chef Gizzi Erskine both played it safe in LBDs, while Donna Air wore an interesting ruched skirt.

But the guests were not as well dressed as the new look store.
