Phyllis Lyons files for divorce from Sons of Anarchy star Adam Arkin after 15 years of marriage


He has been married to Phyllis Lyons for almost 15 years.

But it seems Sons of Anarchy star Adam Arkin's marriage has reached the end of the road.

His wife has filed divorce papers at Los Angeles County Superior Court in which she cites 'irreconcilable differences' as the reason for their split.

Eyebrows will surely be raised at the speed with which the actress called time on their union, as according to TMZ they only separated on Monday.

However it appears the 52-year-old is determined to sever her ties to her former Chicago Hope co-star, with whom she has an eight-year-old son.

It remains to be seen how the couple will divide the assets, but she wants to block the court from awarding Adam spousal support.

The pair had worked together before getting married, with both starring as doctors on popular long-running medical drama Chicago Hope.

They have had long careers in television, though Adam has had more success, appearing in shows such as Northern Exposure, LA Law and Law And Order.

He is also a member of Hollywood royalty, as he is the son of famed Oscar-winning actor Alan Arkin, who starred in the likes of  Edward Scissorhands, Glengarry Glen Ross, Little Miss Sunshine, and Argo.

It will be second time unlucky for Adam, as he was previously married to yoga instructor Linda Sublette, who with whom he also has a daughter named Molly.
