What's not to love about a good copycat recipe? Especially when it comes to the icy delight that is a Starbucks Frappuccino. We've already hacked the Starbucks Caramel Frappuccino and the Starbucks S'mores Frappuccino, so naturally it was time to re-create the Starbucks Vanilla Bean Frappuccino. When the craving strikes and you're nowhere near the chain, it's very easy to make your own at home, thanks to this clever copycat recipe that tastes just like the original. (We're suckers for a spot-on copycat dish. Try our Olive Garden minestrone soup, Olive Garden pasta e fagioli, and copycat Olive Garden breadsticks to re-create favorite Olive Garden dishes at home, or go with Cracker Barrel chicken and dumplings to get a taste of Cracker Barrel wherever you are.)
Though a can of whipped cream will do the trick to top your Vanilla Bean Frappuccino, a dollop of homemade whipped cream makes this drink extra decadent. Here's how to make enough to top one Frappuccino (increase for more servings): Combine ¼ cup very cold heavy whipping cream and ½ teaspoon powdered sugar in the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the whisk attachment. Mix on low for 30 seconds, then increase the speed to medium-high and mix until soft peaks form, about 2 minutes. Use a spoon to dollop the whipped cream on top of your homemade Frappucino.
