Mission: Impossible actor Henry Czerny has joined the new Scream movie, which already boasts a massive ensemble cast featuring the likes of Courteney Cox, Dermot Mulroney, Mason Gooding, Jenna Ortega, Jack Champion, Liana Liberato, Devyn Nekoda, Melissa Barrera, Hayden Panettiere and Jasmin Savoy Brown.
After the success of this year's return of Scream at the box office, with the same creative team returning behind the scenes, the above-mentioned cast members are all returning to reprise their roles from previous instalments. Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett are returning to direct.
The premise of the film is being kept largely under wraps, but it follows the four survivors of the Ghostface killings as they leave Woodsboro behind and start a fresh chapter.

The fifth movie unleashed a new version of Ghostface on an unwitting group of teenagers, with the OG trio of Sidney, Dewey and Gale trying to help them all survive. It was a self-contained story, but that doesn't mean it won't have a major impact on the next movie.
Meanwhile, Czerny is returning to the Mission: Impossible franchise for the very first time since he made an appearance in the first film all the way back in 1996. He played the then-head of IMF Eugene Kittridge, and makes his return in Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part 1.
"I've been thinking about Kittridge going all the way back to Rogue Nation," director Christopher McQuarrie previously said. "I'm much more interested in finding something great for that character to do.

"Early in this process I had an inkling that there could be a place for Kittridge – the tone of the movie, the shape of the movie lent itself to that. I realised" 'Kittridge has got to be in this scene'.
"I had written it not knowing who was in it, and then suddenly Kittridge came into it and the scene was transformed, it was really fun. I got to call Henry Czerny and say: 'You're in! Will you be in it?' He was great about it."
Mission: Impossible 7 currently has a scheduled release date of July 14, 2023.
Scream 6 is due to begin shooting this summer and is scheduled to release on March 21, 2023. Scream is out now on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD, or to download and keep. US viewers can also stream the new movie on Paramount+.
