Coronation Street fans have spotted a secret tribute to iconic character Hilda Ogden.
The long-running character, portrayed by Jean Alexander, famously kept a mural of three flying ducks on her living room wall – and the soap has now incorporated a subtle nod to the trio of birds.
Earlier this week, eagle-eyed fans on the Coronation Street Blog spotted pictures of three flying birds hanging in the home of the Baileys, the newest family on the cobbles.
Fans were quick to recognise it as a clear tribute to Hilda, who famously loved her "Muriel" with its trio of ducks.
"They're beautiful," she once told Sally Webster, before adding: "I just wish that middle one would buck itself up a bit."
Hilda made her last full appearance on the soap on Christmas Day in 1987 as she departed for Derbyshire, although she returned for a couple of specials in the '90s.
Jean Alexander, who played the character for 23 years, passed away at the age of 90 back in October 2016.
Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
