Horsetail Milkweed (Asclepias subverticillata) is a perennial host plant for the Monarch butterfly and an important nectar plant for many other pollinators. It's white, star-liked shaped flowers form round clusters and has narrow leaves. It's native range is mainly from the Rockies to the Midwest. It's very drought tolerant and a wonderful pollinator plant for butterflies and bees. Plants grow 1-3' tall in full sun and well-drained soil. Direct sow outdoors in late Fall / early Winter by pressing seeds into the surface of the soil and keep moist. Seeds need cold stratification to germinate. Minimum 15 seeds included.
