His athletic abilities combined with his accurate shooting were the highlights of his performance. Moreover, his staggering dunks and extraordinary energy on the court caused nightmares to the opposition. Another fascinating aspect of his game was his expertise in using his height to perfect the blocks.

Ever since his clip from the game has gone viral, people have started calling him the next Victor Wembanyama.

Dabone’s similarity with Victor Wembanyama

The adolescent basketball prodigy, Mohamed Dabone is considered as the next big thing to come from Europe after like Luka Doncic and Giannis Antetokounmpo. However, his style of play marks a tremendous resemblance to this year’s first overall NBA pick,  Victor Wembamyama. Apart from his height, his movement around the court somehow makes everyone remember the French teenager when he was 14. Dabone is not as skillful as Victor yet. However, in terms of mobility he clearly holds the upper hand.

In addition to this, his desire to go coast to coast all by himself is another detail that links him to the No. 1 of the San Antonio Spurs. Furthermore, just like Wembamyama, he has the potential to control the game being a center as he can protect the rim and can roll hard to the basket efficiently. Also, he has proven that he doesn’t leave any finishing opportunities hanging.
