CONSERVATION STATUS:
- Threatened.
CULTIVATION:
- Light shade to full sunlight.
- Regular watering.
- Tolerates light frost.
PROPAGATION:
- Readily propagated from seed and suckers.
- Transplants easily and is a relatively fast grower.
NATURAL HABITAT:
- Mpumalanga Province in the Mananga area close to the Mozambican border north of Swaziland.
STEM:
- Erect, aerial stem which sometimes becomes reclining.
- Stem can attain a length of 4 meters with a diameter of 25 cm – 40 cm.
- Stem apex is covered with brownish hair.
