Janet Street-Porter has opened up about her sex life after stripping off for Loose Women

Despite being in her seventies, the TV presenter admitted that her age doesn't hold her back when it comes to being active in the bedroom.

Giving her outlook on having sex later in life, the 71-year-old told The Mirror: "When I was in my 20s, I couldn't imagine older people like my parents having sex. But now older people are less embarrassed about talking about it.

"There was a survey recently that said that people in their 80s were having more sex than people in their 60s."

She added: "Older people don't stop thinking about sex: they might want it differently, or not as often, but they don't lose their sensory perception, or their need to be tactile. When you reach 70, your bits don't just drop off!"

Janet also admitted that she often thinks of herself as a teenager on the inside.

She quipped: "I'm like a teenager with a short attention span - my inner age is 15 to 16.

"I hate rules and I hate fitting in. In fact, it's the capacity to behave really badly that keeps me young. I'm not afraid to appear a bit of a tw*t."

Janet's revelation aligns with the release of a risqué new snap which depicts the Loose Women panel in their swimwear.

Most importantly, the image is completely unairbrushed as the women aim to encourage people of all ages, backgrounds and sizes to embrace their bodies.

The candid shot was taken by American musician Bryan Adams, who has previously photographed the likes of Kate Moss and the Queen.

Discussing the campaign, Janet said: "It's really important to do this campaign because I want women all over Britain to learn to love their bodies. Our bodies are brilliant - it's your weapon!"
