The pomes have two or three stones. - 3. Seed viewed from two aspects. Crataegus monogyna Jacq. emend. Lindm. - common hawthorn 4. Flowering branchlet. - 5. Shoot with ripe pomes, typically with a single stone. - 6. Seed (stone). - 7. Seedling with cotyledons (k) and first ordinary leaves. - 8.
