The Incrustoporaceae is a family within the Polyporales. Four genera are represented in this family: Incrustoporia, Piloporia, Skeletocutis and Tyromyces. In the northeast, it is represented by the commonly found ‘Cheese Polypore’, Tyromyces chioneus. Click on the photo below to see specimens of it and to read its description.
