Leucanthemum paludosum (Annual Marguerite) is a compact, bushy annual valued for its charming floral display and disease resistance. In summer, it boasts a profusion of miniature daisies with white rays and yellow central discs. Forming small clumps of deeply toothed, spoon-shaped, dark green leaves, Annual Marguerite sometimes lives over for a second bloom season. It is a popular choice for borders, flower beds, rockeries, or containers.

  • Grows up to 8-10 in. tall and wide (20-25 cm).
  • Thrives in moderately fertile, moist but well-drained soil in full sun in a sheltered position.
  • Excellent choice for beds and borders, cottage gardens or containers. Perfect for small gardens! Plant in small groups for better visual impact. Makes excellent and long-lasting fresh cut flowers.
  • Low maintenance, this plant is disease-free. Keep an eye out for aphids, leaf and bud eelworms.
  • Remove spent flowers to promote further blooms and maintain a neat appearance. Cut back after flowering to encourage a second flowering in fall. Cut back to the base in late fall.
  • Propagate by division.
  • Native to Europe, northern Africa
