Try not to cry, Peter Quinn fans - Rupert Friend is engaged to his girlfriend Aimee Mullins.
Aimee, a double amputee who competed as a Paralympic sprinter and later become a model, has reportedly been dating the Homeland star since 2013.
Aimee, a L'Oreal spokeswoman, announced the news of their engagement at the L'Oréal Paris Women of Worth awards. Not only was Aimee reportedly calling Rupert her "fiancé" on the red carpet, but she was also given a congratulatory shout-out on the engagement while introducing an honoree.
"It was really sweet because Aimee was tight-lipped about it earlier in the night, not wanting to take attention from the honorees," a source told People , adding that the host "gave her a congratulatory shout-out when calling her up to the stage, which prompted a ton of applause from the audience."
And apparently Rupert was a perfect gentleman, just like we would have expected.
"He was very doting the whole night, pulling out her chair, opening the car door," the source added. "They were really adorable, just enjoying the night and each other's company."
