Kellogg's has just revealed its latest exciting creation... Crunchy Nut Peanut Butter! The cereal, which is a firm favourite in households across the country, has been recreated in peanut butter form in a collaboration between Kellogg's and peanut butter manufacturer Duerr's.
The result? A smooth peanut butter base with crunchy honey roasted nuts throughout, bringing not only texture but also a sweet twist. Those loyal people who wake up to a bowl of Crunchy Nut every day are going to love this new offering.
Sally Addenbrook, brand marketing manager at Duerr’s said: "We’re hugely excited to be working with Kellogg’s to create this truly delicious peanut butter. We’ve effectively taken the iconic taste and much-loved crunch of Crunchy Nut and packed it into a jar of peanut butter. That’s as much as we are willing to say – the rest is top secret."
Crunchy Nut Peanut Butter will be available in Sainsbury's stores across the country from Saturday (19 July). While of course it's delicious on toast, bagels or a classic peanut butter and jelly sandwich, it's also perfect to enjoy with snacks like apple slices, or in baking and cooking.
It's been 40 years this year, since the cereal was originally created. Several tasty Crunchy Nut variants have been popular with shoppers since then but this is the first foray into peanut butter.
Kate Stokes, senior brand manager at Kellogg’s UK said: "Since launching in 1980, the popularity of Crunchy Nut has grown and grown and it is regularly hailed as the UK’s favourite cereal.
"Knowing its popularity, we wanted to explore a new avenue and it’s been great to work with Duerr’s to bring the UK Crunchy Nut Peanut Butter. We hope that all of the Crunchy Nut fans out there are as excited as we are.’"
The jars are available in Sainsbury's stores nationwide from the 19 July, RRP £2.50
