Trichophyton tonsurans on Culture and Microscopy:
 - will often be from hair (monk tonsure)
 - macroconidia are rare - I don't think I've ever seen them
 - microconidia can be tiny or form larger balloon-like forms
 - often develop a brown pigment on the plate
