Alexandra Milchan is joining New Regency, where her father Arnon Milchan has just stepped back in as chairman, reasserting control of the company.
Alexandra Milchan, who has spent the past five years as an indie producer has been named executive vice president, production, it was announced Friday by Brad Weston, the new president and CEO.
Milchan began her film career at New Regency, which she first joined as an assiant in 1993, eventually working her way up to a senior executive position. During her first 13-year stint, she was involved with such films as Copycat, Heat, A Time to Kill, and L.A. Confidential as well as the TV series Michael Hayes.
For the past five years, she has overseen a slate of film, TV and digital productions through her Emjag Productions, secured a feature film deal with Relativity and a digital production deal with Paramount Digital Entertainment.
Her most recent film producing credits include David Ayer‘s Street Kings; Alexandre Aja‘s Mirrors; and Walter Hill‘s Bullet to the Head with Sylvester Stallone. Upcoming projects include The Wolf of Wall Street, starring Leonardo DiCaprio with Red Granite Pictures and Appian Way producing; Scavengers at Twentieth Century Fox with 21 Laps; Cobra: The Space Pirate at Lionsgate with Aja directing; and an Untitled Taylor Lautner Project at New Regency.
“Alexandra has great relationships and a real passion for movies, and we are thrilled to have her back at New Regency,” Weston said. “She will play a central role as we work to return Regency to its roots — producing bold, filmmaker-driven pictures with a singular vision, which will entertain audiences around the world.”
