Amy Ryan, David Strathairn and newcomer Devin McKenzie Druid have joined the cast of Louder Than Bombs, a drama that marks the English-language debut of filmmaker Joachim Trier.
Gabriel Byrne, Jesse Eisenberg and Isabelle Huppert are starring in the drama, which begins shooting Thursday for eight weeks in New York.
The movie tells of a man (Byrne) and his two sons (Eisenberg and Druid) who grapple with the death of their family’s matriarch three years after the woman’s death.
The script was co-written by Eskil Vogt, who worked with Trier on Reprise and Oslo, August 31st.
Memento Films International is brokering international rights. UTA and CAA are handling North American sales.?
Producing are Thomas Robsahm, Memento Films’ Alexandre Mallet-Guy, Animal Kingdom’s Joshua Astrachan, Beachside Film’s Marc Turtletaub and Bona Fide’s Albert Berger and Ron Yerxa.
