Oscar-winning writer/producer David Franzoni has signed with Paradigm, The Hollywood Reporter has exclusively learned. He previously was with CAA.
Franzoni shared a Best Picture Academy Award with fellow producers Douglas Wick and Branko Lustig for Gladiator, for which he also received an Oscar screenplay nomination. He also wrote Disney’s King Arthur, starring Clive Owen and Keira Knightley, Amistad and Jumpin’ Jack Flash.
STORY Pierce Brosnan, Spike TV Developing Crusades Event Series
In keeping with his specialty in historical epics, Franzoni is currently developing two event series: Spike TV’s The Crusaders and Fox’s Nazareth. He is teaming up with Predators writer Michael Finch to pen the script for the former, about the 12th century holy war, executive produced by Pierce Brosnan. For the latter, Franzoni is writing and executive producing the Landscape Entertainment mini about Jesus Christ’s formative years.
Franzoni continues to be repped by attorney Linda Lichter at Lichter Grossman.
