Barleria prionitis – Kuranta, Porcupine Flower

Other notes

Natural History: An armed shrub found in tropical Africa and Asia. A medicinal plant known as Sahacharah or Saireyaka in Sanskrit and Koranti in Marathi. Yellow flowers bloom on spiny branches from November to February (Flowers of India, 2022).
