Interestingly, though GTA may have looked two-dimensional in 1997, it was actually built in 3D to allow the player to use bridges and tunnels. Dailly’s new map looks 3D in a more contemporary sense, and it runs in both WebGL and HTML5 at 60 frames per second. For more updates, check out Dailly's Twitter feed.
