CAP 2-7 cm, viscid or slimy, conical at first and usually retaining pointed umbo, bright yellow to orange, the orange usually toward the center; flesh yellow. ODOR and TASTE mild. GILLS adnexed to free, yellow. STEM 5-8 x 0.3-0.6 cm, moist or lubricous but not truly viscid, yellow to yellow orange, base may blacken. PL.
