Eucalyptus socialis

Summary 2

Multi-stemmed mallee with rough bark to 2m, usually smooth above.
Leaves are broad, green-grey and leathery.
Buds are in groups up to 12, bud scar is present and the caps are long and pointed.
Flowers are cream or pale yellow, usually in spring and summer.
Fruit is woody and globe-shaped with a distinctive spike from the centre when young. Fruit valves are exserted (above the rim).
