Description ²

Triangular basally, 3-6cm long and 1-2cm wide. Leaves 2-4. Sparsely armed with stout prickles. Seed cones usually solitary, brown. Red seeds, 3cm long, 2cm diameter. Similar to Z.muricata.

Habitat Type ²

It can occur in dry, seasonal and wet tropical forests. Its found in very sandy well drained soils. Occurs in open habitat and understory. CITES appendix II
