  1. Very interesting find, Alfred. First species we have in this family. Posted 2 years ago
    1. I'm not sure if the ID is correct. It looks more like Galiella sp., possibly Galiella rufa. Trichaleurina javanica has a "brilliant yellowish-orange disc".

      1. The hymenium is definitely not bright yellow/orange in these photos, but the fruiting body has a different shape than the one in Alfred's photo:

        Compare to G. rufa:

        1. Thank you for the extra check! The third photo on that second link looks very convincing. Only doubt I have is that it seems a US species? Posted 2 years ago
          1. I thought the same until I read on Wikipedia that it is found " throughout eastern and Midwest North America and in Malaysia. "

            1. Good point, let's go for it then. Once again, thanks. Posted 2 years ago
            2. I suggested Trichaleurina based on this checkpoint:

I have some other photos to show. How can I insert more photos here?

              1. You can upload additional views like you would any other photo. Then, copy and paste the link into the description for this photo. That will connect the two. Posted 2 years ago
                1. After sharing the other photo, would your conclusion on the species ID be still Galiella rufa? Posted 2 years ago
                  1. No, after seeing the other photo, I agree that your initial ID seems correct. Posted 2 years ago
