This extraordinary antique Victorian locket pendant brooch dates from the mid 19th Century circa 1850. Crafted out of 15K yellow gold it features a motif of snakes winding up the pearl and gold border toward a bird guarding pearls eggs its nest at the top set with turquoise and seed pearls. Magnificently detailed and fine example of Victorian naturalistic jewelry design. This is all set around a crystal locket. Large size to fully appreciate the charming details.
