An unremarkable coin-op gets an unremarkable conversion. I got well into level 3 (of 6) on my first go, without autofire, despite the boredom of the complete lack of ideas and invention. Visuals are adequate and reasonably varied, but it's sound effects or music, and prone to slowdown. The support drones and their kamikaze attacks are neat, and the simultaneous 2 player mode survives, but against contemporaries like Battle Squadron or the in-my-opinion-overrated Xenon II this falls well short. The most memorable thing is the weird way the title screen and intro narration are presented onto the screen from under a receding black box. And why does the box say 'set in the indeterminable future' when the intro says 'at the beginning of the 21st century', which sounds pretty determinable to me?

It is not a horrible conversion but it is really poor, the music is really redeemable, as well as a decent attempt to maintain the arcade introduction, graphically it is more or less, but the rescaling is bad as well as those collision detection

This might be OK, if you didn't have 50 other verticle shooters to play instead. The graphics are terrible, the frame rate is awful, the music is annoying, and there's no sound effects. 2/10

Frame rate is ok but suffers from slowdowns. Mediocre music with no simultaneous fx. Graphics below average. Still a playable game.

Forgettable SEGA arcade game. Why did they even bother porting this in the first place?
