Played this recently. Personally I think the game is of two halves, as I found the sport tracks and the canyon tracks very playable and enjoyable, but the snow levels, what the hell happened... I like the graphics overall, but starting from the first snow level the game brings confusion through the over use of graphics, obstacles or general track layout. I was going to give this a 6, but overall I think I will give it a 5, as it doesn't take advantage of the Amiga CD32 and I think the gameplay issues bring it down for me.

This is the best overhead racer Amiga had. Fluid animation, stunning visuals, arcade gameplay style with random tracks that require constant improvement of your technique. There are six worlds with seven tracks in each to race on and three types of cars to choose from. Each of the worlds is dedicated to a different car so you need to work on your skills and track's knowledge. I can't undestand why the player's rating is so low in this game but it deserves score 10/10. Downside of CD32 edition is that it does not bring anything over regular version.

I think nearly everyone knows my story of buying my CD32 and nearly taking it back for a refund! But then ..... I went and bought some real games for it and amongst those was this little gem "ATR"
Having already played this on my A500+ (both the full version and the Amiga Format xmas demo) I already knew what to expect.
Yet again, more superb Team 17 quality.

Like most of Team17's products, this game is very well-designed. I thought the difficulty on the first track was perfect. The later courses on the other hand were so frustrating I rarely played them. If they weren't so frustrating, ATR: All Terrain Racing might have become one of my favorite games.

I suppose in a way most of Team 17's games were great and good colourful GFX and mint sound. This game had that and some nice gameplay but this game is very similar to Nitro from Psygnosis, same concept & everything except Team 17 maybe's re-touched the idea up.

Funnily enough the same guy who worked on Nitro also worked on this

But this a good game, never got bored of it...

Team 17 again.... And they never made bad games. This is not so funny... But it's ok. Play Micro machines for more fun!
