Catananche caerulea

Common Name: 'Cupid's dart'

A. clump-forming perennial with strap-like leaves and lavender-blue, cornflower-like blooms with dark centres formed on tall wiry stems. Jun-Sep. H60cm S30cm.

Care Instructions

Requires a very well-drained soil in full sun and is drought tolerant. Good planted en masse. Grow with grey or silver-leafed plants such as artemisia and Stachys byzantina which enjoy similar growing conditions and so make natural partners.
