Keith Duffy is reportedly 'in bits' after splitting from his wife of 25 years, Lisa. However, he's said to be hoping to rekindle their relationship.

Just before Christmas, the 49 year old Boyzone star moved out of the £1.15 million Dublin home he shared with Lisa. However, sources say Keith isn't ready to wave the white flag on his marriage just yet. An insider said: "There is no one else involved. It is serious, but Keith is hopeful that they can sort this thing out. They care deeply for one another and their children."

Another source revealed to the Mirror: "It has come as a shock to everyone. Back in July, they appeared happier than ever while celebrating 25 years together on a trip of a lifetime to the French Riviera."

Keith and Lisa first met in a Dublin nightclub in 1995. Within nine months, they were expecting their first child, son Jay. Keith, who also starred as Ciaran McCarthy in Coronation Street, proposed to Lisa just two days before they tied the knot in Las Vegas in 1998.

In July, they professed their love for each other on social media on their 25th anniversary. At the time, Keith said: "Celebrating 25 years in Style. The French Riviera doesn't disappoint." In a chat with Weekend magazine in 2020, Keith talked about what it takes to keep a marriage going. He said: "Number one, you have to want it to work. Number two, it takes a lot of compromise. Number three, it takes forgiveness."

He also mentioned: "Some people can't make it work, though. I'd never judge, but I do think sometimes people give up too easily. It's easy to walk away. It's harder to stay."

Since the news of his breakup came out, Keith has been quiet on social media. His last Instagram post was on January 7, when he paid tribute to his dad, Sean, who died in January 2022. Keith wrote a message on a black background with his dad's name and the dates he was born and died. Below that, he put: "2 years an angel".

When his dad passed away in 2022, Keith shared a message from him and his son Jay, 25. It started: "Sean Duffy,1945 - 2022. Our hearts are broken to tell you that our dad/granddad Sean has died," wrote the 'No Matter What' singer in his emotional post.

The Mirror has approached Keith's representatives for comment on this story.
