Cam Gigandet looks completely different fifteen years after he played the ruthless vampire in the first installment of the Twilight movie franchise.

The actor, now 40 years old, is most recognised for his role as James Witherdale, the leader of a group of nomadic vampires that intends to kill Bella, in the flick which catapulted Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner to global recognition.

Cam also left a lasting impact following his portrayal in Twilight, as the following year, he won his second MTV Movie Award for Best Fight from the movie, which he shares with Robert. For the movie, the actor sported long blonde locks that were tied into a loose ponytail. Also, like many of his other co-stars, he had a pale complexion to stay true to the vampire role. It was also made known that Cam had short hair before filming commenced, and with only a month to grow it out, the team decided that he would wear a wig for the role.

Nowadays, Cam continues to sport his short natural locks, which can be seen on his Instagram page. Meanwhile, Twilight wasn't Cam's first big role, as he kicked off his career with parts in CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and the soap, The Young and the Restless. From 2005 to 2006, he also starred in the iconic teen drama, The O.C in the role of Kevin, a bad boy competitive surfer who shared a fling with the series' lead character Marissa Cooper.

The following year, he starred alongside Sean Faris in the action drama movie, Never Back Down, where he earned his first MTV Movie Award for Best Fight. As a result of his early success, Cam won the "One to Watch" award at the 10th Annual Young Hollywood Awards. In the years that have followed, he has starred in The Roommate alongside Leighton Meester and Minka Kelly, as well as the iconic comedy movie Easy A.

This year alone, he has three films in post-production, including Shrapnel, Deep Six and Til Death Do Us Part. On the personal front, he shares three children with ex-wife Dominique Geisendorff. In August 2022, the pair divorced, citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for their split. Cam has since debuted his new romance with British-Amercan actress Hannah James. He is smitten with the 30 year old that he has labelled himself as the "luckiest f***ah in the world".
