Suzie loves going to the woods to have sex with as many strangers as possible - and brings her husband to watch.

Admitting dogging is like a "moreish" drug, hubby John reveals he has met vicars, solicitors, undertakers and "weirdos".

"I like quite a few blokes to come up with us. I like one after another. I come down here to get through as many blokes as I can," admits Suzie.

"I don't want them to care about me. I want them to like what they're looking at and go. The quicker they come the better. They don't want to make love for hours."

However, there is a dark side to dogging, as many of those taking part have heartbreaking and worrying motivations.

"You get a very broad spectrum of people round here. From the nice people to complete idiots," admits John.

"You do go people going down there that think if a woman is down there it's a free for all and they can do what they want, which is not the case. There are guidelines and things you have to adhere to.

"It's still my wife at the end of the day and you can't take liberties just because they're down there having sex with men. You can't just do what you want."

Neither of the couple are scared when they go down to the woods alone, but they feel safer with more blokes around.

Suzie admits many men find her intimidating as they don't think they would ever stand a chance with her outside of the dogging scene.

Disappointment comes when men can't perform in the cold and dark, which leaves Suzie feeling insecure in her appearance.

This comes from years of being anorexic when she was young, being anxious to go out for meals, frightened to eat and at times wanting to die.

"I'll never ever be happy with my body," confesses Suzie. "But then it makes me feel better when I go out and get compliments and it makes me feel nice about myself for a little while."

Other doggers also have emotional reasons for going out to have sex with strangers.

A mother-of-three explains that she finds it hard to think of herself as sexy as she has always been big.

As well as struggling with low self-esteem, she also has to look after three kids, all with special needs.

"When I get dressed up and go out and play I leave that at home. I'm not mum, I'm me. I leave all that behind," she says.

She always tells husband she loves him before leaving and treats dogging as "foreplay" before returning to get her hands on him.

While Terry reluctantly agreed to go dogging with his partner Sarah as a last resort because she can't stop cheating.

Guilt-ridden Sarah admits she spiralled out of control, explaining: "I cheated with any random person who would show me attention. I felt guilty each time I did it so I had to tell him."

Terry admits it hasn't been easy but he loves Sarah, so proposed they go dogging in a final bid to spice up their relationship.

It's always been a dream of Terry's to have two women, so they are joined by new friend Anne for a trip to the woods.

However, things don't go to plan when the cold weather means Terry isn't standing to action.

The unexpected arrival of a furry intruder, a fox, is too much for Terry who claims he's too cold and uncomfortable so they are forced to leave.

Les, who has been dogging for three years with his partner Sue, first heard about it while having sex in a car in Epping Forest and half a dozen men were suddenly around the car watching.

The parrot owner has 18 kids, is expecting his 19th, but wants to "get the snip" soon because he cannot find condoms big enough to fit him.

He says: "Dogging isn't just about everyone going out and having sex together. You get a lot of voyeurs who like to watch and have a w***. They can have a w*** and do whatever."

Shy Sue admits she closes her eyes and ignores people watching or looks in the opposite direction.

But dogging has boosted her confidence and is about helping Sue regain the control she never had in previous relationships.

Les admits that their hobby has got many critics, but he claims what they're doing is better than watching porn at home.

"Some people hate us but we're not interfering with them. We try to keep out of people's way," says Les.

"If we want to do it we do it. We don't want to live a boring life.

Behind closed doors they're all sat there watching porn. We don't go in for porn films, they're boring. It's either the real thing or nothing.

The former DJ adds: "When we go out dogging when the blokes are watching I just feel good in myself that I'm there and supplying that bit of entertainment."

Fuming Les believes the "golden years" of dogging are over due to the internet and it's actually harder to meet up with anyone.

Elsewhere, a lorry driver confesses that dogging is addictive because of the "no-strings" nature of the sex.

He uses his lorry for work and it's his home for five or six days a week, which means he can find dogging spots across the country.

According to the lorry driver, 70% of the people in his profession are into dogging.

He explains: "Obviously if you're going dogging you want to have fun with the females. Some nights there won't be any and others there will be five or six."

The lorry driver claims everyone pays for sex, with those in relationships having to spend money on their loved ones, so he prefers his lifestyle.

But not everyone that enters the woods is a fan of dogging - as one dog walker explains that they took over until the authorities were brought in.

In the space where he once used to take his daughters, the doggers made their own space and cut back trees to allow up to 16 cars a night to park up.

Within their own little "city" there was a maze of paths and small "rooms" full of condoms, porn, knickers and mattresses.

The police also revealed that branches had been cut into penis shapes that doggers used to sit on.

One man hit the headlines when he was found handcuffed to a tree with a sign round his neck inviting people to "abuse" him.
