He' grew up in Evanston and Kenilworth and graduated from New Trier High SchooL A resident of Waimea, Hawaii, he died July 14 in Straub Hospital in Honolulu after a six-year battle with throat cancer. He worked several years for Morton Salt and moved initially to California before taking up permanent residence in Hawaii in 1979. Dr. Henry S.

Swlontek Dr. Henry S. Swiontek, 79, former president of the medical and dental staff at MacNeal Memorial Hospital, Berwyn, and former president of the board of the West Town Community Nursing Service, died Thursday in La Grange Memorial Hospital Dr. Swiontek was a major and flight surgeon in the Army Air Corps during World War in the South Pacific. He entered private practice in 1946 and was recalled to the military in the Korean War as commander of the base hospital at Ellison Air Force Base, Fairbanks, Alaska.

Dr. Swiontek is survived by his wife, Olga; two daughters, Laura George, and Mary Trego; and three grandchildren. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday in Conboy-Westchester Funeral Home, 10501 W. Cermak Westchester.

Services will be held there at 11 a.m. Saturday. Robert W. Trettin Robert W. Trettin, 97, a retired accountant for the Chicago North Western Transportation died July 23 in Bethany Terrace Nursing Centre, Morton Grove.

He was a resident of the Lake View neighborhood. There are no immediate survivors. A memorial service for Mr. Trettin will be held 1:30 p.m. Saturday in St.

Peter Episcopal Church, 621 W. Belmont Ave. Carl F. Lohrentz Carl F. Lohrentz, 91, who worked for more than a half-century in the savings and loan industry, died Wednesday in the Americana Health Care Center, Arlington Heights.

Mr. Lohrentz, an Arlington Heights resident, was a director of Hoyne Savings Bank in Chicago since 1976. He is survived by his wife, Mildred; two daughters, Shirley Puis and Carol Wiemann; a son, Carlton six grandchildren; five greatgrandchildren; three sisters; and a brother.
