Biography: Owen Wilson is an American actor, comedian, producer, and screenwriter best known for his frequent collaborations with filmmaker Wes Anderson and for being part of the "Frat Pack" group of comedic actors.

Wilson was born in Dallas, Texas in 1968. He attended the University of Texas at Austin, where he met Anderson.

Wilson made his film debut in Anderson's short film "Bottle Rocket" (1994), which they later adapted into a feature film in 1996. He co-wrote Anderson's next two films, "Rushmore" (1998) and "The Royal Tenenbaums" (2001), starring alongside his brother in the latter, for which he also received an Oscar nomination for Best Original Screenplay.

In the 2000s, Wilson's fame grew with comedies like "Zoolander" (2001), "Wedding Crashers" (2005), and the "Night at the Museum" series (2006-2014). He also voiced Lightning McQueen in the "Cars" franchise (2006-2017).

Wilson has worked with other renowned directors like Woody Allen in "Midnight in Paris" (2011), earning a Golden Globe nomination, and Paul Thomas Anderson in "Inherent Vice" (2014). He has openly discussed his struggles with depression and a suicide attempt in 2007.

Throughout his career, Wilson has continued to collaborate with Anderson on films like "The Darjeeling Limited" (2007), "Fantastic Mr. Fox" (2009), and "The Grand Budapest Hotel" (2014). He has also appeared in dramas like "Wonder" (2017) and the Marvel series "Loki" (2021).
