Comments: It appears that this volume was never issued despite having an ISBN issued. I have checked with the Seiko Museum in Japan, who have an extensive library on all Japanese watches and they confirmed this. As the information on Takano is quite limited most of the information from the Postwar domestic Watch - Seiko / Takano was likely to have been reproduced in this volume.

Comments: While not officially part of the series this book seems to have been the inspiration for the Domestic Watch series. The book is a smaller form factor than the other Domestic Watch series books but it contains many more pages. The book looks like it is the basis for much of the domestic watch series volumes for Seiko content. There is a significant amount of information tracking the history of Seiko tracking the releases of movements and the evolution of the different ranges. Instead of the watch face images found in the regular Domestic Watch volumes the images presented here are mainly movement shots. The first 149 pages are for Seiko content while the remainder focuses upon Takano. Surprisingly the Takano content has not been republished in any of the other volumes.

Content: This volume contains extensive information regarding the models from Takano and Ricoh. The Takano section includes all of the models released by the company and also covers the early Lanco branded models. The Ricoh section contains a section towards the end on the Ricoh Hamilton collaboration on electronic models.

Comments: If you have any interest in these brands this is the definitive reference for these models. As always there is extensive research on the different models with details on the differences in rotor text, shock mountings etc.
