You might know Rupert Friend from his notable appearances in films and TV shows over the years. The British actor started his career in the early 2000s with roles like the cunning charmer George Wickham in "Pride and Prejudice" and CIA officer Peter Quinn in Showtime's "Homeland." He's been busy with projects ever since, even dipping into screenwriting and producing. Now, he is the lead in the Netflix political thriller series "Anatomy of a Scandal" and will play the Grand Inquisitor in "Obi-Wan Kenobi," the upcoming "Star Wars" spin-off series from Disney+.

While his professional life is packed, his romantic life hasn't been as busy. The actor has publicly dated only a few people over the years, and he's currently off the market. From his "Pride and Prejudice" co-star Keira Knightley to athlete Aimee Mullins, here are all of Rupert Friend's romances over the years.

Rupert Friend and Keira Knightley (2006 - 2011)

Rupert Friend's first public relationship was with "Pirates of the Caribbean" and "Love Actually" actor Keira Knightley. The two met on the set of the 2005 film adaptation of Jane Austen's "Pride and Prejudice." While they were together, Friend and Knightley shared an apartment near the Hyde Park area of London, but not much was known beyond that, as the pair were incredibly private about their relationship. They stayed together for five years until their split in 2011.

Because of the private nature of their relationship, not much was revealed about their breakup. However, Knightley's father, actor William Knightley, briefly touched on it. "It wasn't a decision that either of them took lightly," he told the Daily Mail in 2011 "I know they gave it a great deal of thought. I don't think there was any one thing that led to their breakup — it was a whole raft of things, I think." Those close to Friend told the Daily Mail that Knightley's growing fame could have contributed to the breakup. "It affected the harmony in the relationship. The pressure took its toll, and both decided they should go their separate ways. They will remain life-long friends," the source said.

Rupert Friend and Aimee Mullins (2013 - Present)

After breaking up with Knightley in 2011, Friend didn't date anyone publicly until he met American athlete, actress, and model Aimee Mullins in 2013. According to Vogue UK, she was diagnosed with fibular hemimelia when she was a year old, which resulted in the amputation of both of her legs. Mullins competed in the 1996 Paralympics and has acted in both film and TV over the years, most notably as Terry Ives in Netflix's "Stranger Things."

Friend and Mullins met in 2013 and announced their engagement in 2014. Two years later, the two tied the knot in a private wedding on May 1, 2016. Mullins shared a thoughtful post on Instagram to commemorate the couple's one-month anniversary, writing, "Celebrating one beautiful month of being married to my best Friend! The 1st of May was a gorgeous rainy day… an elopement in the field got moved into the compost shed. Our kind of magical day."

While Friend and Mullins maintain a relatively private personal life, the two do share thir love for one another on social media from time to time. In 2018, Friend shared a picture of Mullins on Instagram with the caption, "The incomparable @aimeemullins did her own hairdo for the #strangeangel premiere last night! #multitalented #stunning."
