SFRS crews remain on scene after responding to house blaze in Evanton

Fire crews remain on scene in Evanton after they called to battle a house fire this morning.

An alert was raised at 9.50am requiring two Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) appliances to attend the blaze at Teandallon Square in the Easter Ross village.

SFRS confirmed that one casualty was receiving treated.

A statement from SFRS confirmed that the fire had taken place in the rear extension of a two-storey building.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 9.50am on Thursday, February 1, to reports of a dwelling fire on Teandallon Square, Evanton.

“Operations Control mobilised two fire appliances to the scene, where firefighters worked to extinguish a fire affecting a rear extension of the two-storey building.

“One casualty was in the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service.

“The crews remain on scene.”

Police Scotland confirmed that they are aware of the incident but have yet to make comment.
