Dorothy Rabinowitz Wall Street Journal A complex work gripping from start to finish thanks to stellar writing, impressive performances, and, not least, perhaps, the ambition that comes shining through. Jun 11, 2020 Full Review Kevin Lever Tell-Tale TV The second season marks a great continuation that can be enjoyed on its own or as a follow-up, and its six episodes are a reflection on loss in its many forms. John L The first season was passable, but season 2 was ghastly. Where shall I start ? Good acting only redeeming aspect. Otherwise: 1) poorly written 2) melodramatic 3) anticlimactic before during and after the climax, if there was one, 4) poorly developed characters whom you didn’t care aboutm in the last. Of you’re used to high quality crime dramas from the UK, stay away. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/23/24 Full Review Audience Member Another very good season for Hidden, complex but engaging plot with twists and turns and excellent writing, I love the actors, so skilled in their craft and, as in Season 1, excellent videography, truly a high value program. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Slow… deliberately so. Slow-paced, tension-building drama as it should be. The writers seem to have learnt from their mistakes, and the stewardship of the directing team also seems to have developed. Annes Elwy is incredible! The relationships between characters, and the links to the previous series are all brilliant. Really enjoyed it! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member I'm on episode 3 and would have switched off if there was something else to watch, so boring and incredibly slow Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Dark. Depressing. Everybody is struggling with issues, personally or/and professionally. After the first two episodes I briefly considered not watching any more because the whole thing is almost unbearably bleak, from the damp, dark, impoverished living conditions to the dysfunctional families. It rains a lot and the landscape looks threatening and foreboding. But turning off is not an option due to utterly convincing characters and heart wrenching twists and turns in the plot. This could easily be a true crime drama, so realistically does it depict every facet of life in this Welsh town. I ended up binge watching the last three episodes until well past midnight. Can't wait for season 3 which will air in 2021! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
