Pastor Trey T. Thomas

Rev. Trey T. Thomas serves as Senior Pastor of St. John Missionary Baptist Church as of November 2017. He was born in Houston, TX and is the youngest of two sons born to Mr. and Mrs. Wayne and Linda Thomas. He is a product of the Houston Independent School District and a graduate of James Madison Senior High School. He further received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Biblical Counseling from the College of Biblical Studies in Houston, TX and has also completed his Master of Arts Degree in Christian Education at Dallas Theological Seminary. Recently, he has taken additional coursework that has qualified him to begin pursuing his Doctorate of Ministry Degree in Pastoral Leadership.

Pastor Thomas was raised in the church and confessed his faith of saving grace in Jesus Christ at the age of six and was baptized at Pure Light Missionary Baptist Church. Pastor Thomas began attending Lilly Grove faithfully in July of 2001 and in May of 2002 sensed the hand of God calling him to preach, He accepted his call and was allowed to preach his first sermon on December 11, 2002 under the strong leadership of Pastor Terry K. Anderson. In March of 2009, Pastor Anderson and the leadership of Lilly Grove afforded Pastor Thomas the opportunity and privilege to serve on staff full time as the Minister of Congregational Care. Serving in this capacity has given Pastor Thomas the experiences needed to successfully shepherd the flock God has called him to lead, feed, and love!

Pastor Thomas is married to his beautiful wife, and our First lady Eboni Thomas, for the past 19 years. They are blessed with a handsome 10-yr old son, Jamieson Thomas.
