LUPINS Biennial
Approx. 1,200 - 1,500 seeds per oz/28 g Sow July 1st. for blooms next year. Protect plants with straw mulch, for winter months. Cut off flower spikes to prevent weakening of plants through seed production.
GREENHOUSE: Sow Feb. 15th. for June blooms. Germination is quite irregular, (according to color) over a 14 day period. Freeze seed for 48 hrs., then soak seed for 24 hrs. before sowing. Sow in peat pots, do not transplant or disturb roots. Use light, well drained soil of low nitrogen and high pH. Germinate & grow at 54°F/12°C for 20 days.
