Digitalis lanata

An evergreen species with a strong architectural appearance, with silver hairs against the buds on the flowering stem. The overall effect is white but the flowers are soft brown with a white lip. From this plant the heart drug Digoxin is extracted. For sun 100cm, a perennial species that comes true from seed.

The seed we offer can be sown anytime from January to September. Sowing between January and April will require slight warmth (15°C to 21°C) to maintain germination. Later sowings from April to September will not require artificial heat, they will require protection from sudden downpours or extremes of temperature.
