While swimming is not permitted at present, daytrippers can still sunbathe on the sandy shores.

There's also the Ruislip Lido Railway that takes visitors around the lake and through the woods.

Passengers can start their journey at Wood Bay Station, which can be found next to the beach.

Alternatively, daytrippers can board the holiday train at Willow Lawn station next to the car park.

Tickets cost £4 for a return journey for a full-paying adult and £3 for three to fifteen-year-olds.

Other activities include the pirate ship play area and a splash pad play area where kids can cool off.

Families can also go on walks following the nature trails as well as taking part in craft sessions in the Woodland Centre.

There's also a Lakeside Cafe and free toilets that members of the public can use.

Several day trippers shared their views of the hidden beach on TikTok.

In the comments on one video, one person wrote: "Beautiful place".

While another person added: "Amazing."
