Writer Germaine Greer slams Elton John for naming his husband as mother of his two sons on their birth certificates
WRITER Germaine Greer slammed Sir Elton John for naming his husband as mother of his two sons on their birth certificates.
The 73-year-old rocker is parent to Zachary, nine, and Elijah, seven, with David Furnish, 57.
The boys were born to a Californian surrogate.
But feminist Greer, 81, complained that Furnish is listed as their mother.
Speaking to magazine The Oldie, Greer condemned the couple for making the surrogate 'give up' her title as mother of the youngsters.
She said: "Their two sons were born to two women, but David Furnish is the 'mother' on their birth certificates.

Australian author Greer also claimed women have 'destroyed' politics and branded ex-Prime Minister Theresa May's time in office as 'miserable'.
She added: "Women have destroyed our political system, in my view - the shambles of Theresa May's miserable time in office: women sitting around cackling and squawking, wearing those earrings with huge lumps on them, looking like temple donkeys in Kerala, and poor old Therasa tiptoeing through that cornfield."
