Where is Abi Titmuss now?
DURING the noughties Abi Titmuss was one of the most well-known faces in the media thanks to her lads' mag photoshoots.
The 46-year-old – who now goes by the name Abigail Evelyn – first stepped into the limelight after dating Blue Peter presenter John Leslie.
Who is Abi Titmuss?
Abi is a TV personality, actress, and former glamour model from Newark-on-Trent.
She is also a poker player and has competed in a number of championships.
Abi completed a nursing diploma after graduating from City University in St Bartholomew's Hospital in 1998 before going on to become a staff nurse at London's University College Hospital.
But she was thrust into the media spotlight after she began dating TV presenter John Leslie.
After splitting with Leslie, Abi went on to be voted the seventh sexiest woman in the world.
She went on to become a reality TV star, appearing in Celebrity Love Island, Hell's Kitchen and Come Dine With Me.
In 2004 and 2005, she appeared on the cover of UK men's magazines 38 times.
Where is Abi Titmuss now?
In the mid-noughties, the former lads' mag favourite decided to focus on her acting career and attended the Central School of Speech and Drama.
She had a stint in Hotel Babylon and then Casualty in 2012, before relocating back to the States.
The star changed her name to Abigail Evelyn, and in 2015 landed the role of Nurse Jackie in the long-running soap opera Days Of Our Lives.
Talking previously about her life as an in-demand glamour model, Abi said: “Financially I did very well but it came at a great emotional cost. I had very low self-esteem because I didn’t understand why it had happened to me and I didn’t think I deserved any of it.
“I started getting my self-esteem from the camera lens and that is a dangerous place to be. If I was not on the front page I would worry.
“I was self-medicating with drink, drugs, shopping, food, relationships – you name it. I was going out every night… you enter a twilight zone.”
Who has Abi Titmuss dated?
Abi first came to public attention as the girlfriend of TV presenter John Leslie whom she met in a Fulham bar on April 10, 1999.
She broke into the media in 2003 after being pictured beside Leslie when a sexual assault case against him collapsed.
But the couple split not long after and a sex tape of them with another woman emerged.
Abi later said of the tape: "I was devastated by the violation. It affected me very badly. I guess there was something accessible about me."
In an interview in 2013, Abi told The Sun that if she met Leslie now, she wouldn't have let him chat her up, she said: "If I could do it all again I would act differently. I would walk out of that bar and never look back.”
Is Abi Titmuss married?
Abi is now married to American musician and actor Ari Welkom.
She said that what attracted her to Ari was his lack of judgement about her former glamour model career.
"I wanted to meet somebody who didn't know anything about me so I would know 100 per cent in my heart this person just liked me for me and didn't have any judgement."
The pair tied the knot in May 2017 at a ceremony in Los Angeles.
Welkom rose to stardom in 2005 following his appearance in Brick, alongside Joseph-Gordon Levitt.
Does Abi Titmuss have any children?
Abi kept details of the birth private but she was pictured by The Daily Mail with her husband and baby in January 2018.
The couple were spotted with their child as they were leaving the Bootleg Theater in Los Angeles.
After announcing her pregnancy in OK! Magazine in April 2017, Abi said: "I’m so excited about becoming a mum for the first time.
“I’d been bursting to share the news sooner but we hadn’t had the all-clear from the doctor so I had to hold back.
"I found out I was expecting in the second week of January and it has been very hard keeping it a secret until now.”
