Who is Andrew Brooke? Strike: Career of Evil actor playing Niall Brockbank who also starred in Phone Shop

ANDREW Brooke, the actor best known for the Channel 4 series PhoneShop, is returning to screens for the BBC's Strike: Career of Evil.

Who is Andrew Brooke?

Andrew Brooke is an English producer and actor, who famously played Ashley in the the first three series of Channel 4's PhoneShop.

He has also starred in several films, including Sherlock Holmes in 2009, The Bank Job and Children of Men.

TV-wise, he has appeared in Pulling, How Not to Live Your Life, The Bible, Law & Order: UK, My Family, Collision, EastEnders, Da Vinci's Demons , The IT Crowd, The Inbetweeners, The Mark Steel Lectures, Doctor Who, Silent Witness and No Signal.

In March 2012, Andrew was photographed getting close to his Doctor Who co-star Karen Gillan "during a night off from filming in Spain".

In Strike, he will take on the role of Niall Brockbank.

When is Strike: Career of Evil on TV?

Strike: Career of Evil started on BBC One on Sunday, February 25 at 9pm and concludes at the same time on March 4.

It again features both private investigator Cormoran Strike and his assistant and secretary, Robin Ellacott.

Strike: Career of Evil is another two-part mystery and sees Strike face a serial killer with a grudge.

The JK Rowling book has been adapted to the screen by Tom Edge.

What is Strike: Career of Evil about?

When a dismembered leg is mailed to Strike’s office, it sends both Cormoran’s and Robin’s lives into turmoil and makes them face demons from their pasts.

Their partnership reaches breaking point as Robin’s wedding day nears.

They disagree about how to ensnare a man who abuses children.
